Do you install tile?
We do not install tile but will provide our clients with a referral list of installers.
How much tile will I need for my project?
We are always happy to assist our clients with rough quantities for their projects. We are not responsible for quantities when ordering. The professional installer is responsible for this task. Generally, there is a 10%-15% overage that most installers prefer. The number may vary depending on product and material.
What is the lead time for tile?
Most of our products are available in (1) week lead time. Special orders and non-stocked items can have a lead time of 4-12 weeks depending on the product. We do our best to provide clients with the most accurate timeframes as possible. We do not guarantee delivery dates.
Will I be charged a freight charge?
A freight charge is assessed for all tile/stone orders. We do not build the freight cost into our material costs. We pass our freight charges from our vendors directly to our clients. Residential deliveries will be an additional cost as opposed to picking up the material up at our Norwalk facility.
Are you allowed to return tile for overages not needed?
We do not accept returns for overages after 30 days from the date the tile is ordered. Our clients will be charged a 35% restocking fee and are responsible for freight charges to ship the material back to the vendor. No returns will be accepted on any custom or special order materials.
Do you need full payment upfront?
For tile, we require 60% deposit to place the order. Full payment is required before material is shipped to job site or picked up at our facility. For fabrication, we will not place any order without a 50% deposit. We accept cash, American Express, Visa MasterCard and check.
Do you come out to measure countertops and tile?
Generally, it is the contractor’s responsibility to measure tile and or countertops for pricing purposes. If our client does not have a contractor/tile installer, we will do our best to provide measurements in a timely manner.
How do I take care of my tile and stone?
Please see a sales associate to discuss specific care instructions for the product you have purchased. We recommend inquiring about maintenance that is involved with the product. Sealers and cleaners are available for purchase at our New Canaan showroom.
